With Ward 1 Alderman Mark “big tax and spender” Roy also running for Mayor, that aldermanic seat is open. Word is that David Whihby will be back, so forces of responsible govt have a chance to do more than win with Gatsas. Also word is that big spender Betsi Devries (I’ve got to be careful here–we still need her Senate vote against seat belts!) isn’t planning to run again in my own Ward 8. We can change the complexion of that horrid aldermanic board. To respond to a rumor I’ve heard today, no, I have no desire to be Ward 8 Alderman again and no one is pressuring me to run for it.
Steve V (of course, I’d spent and tax even less than Gatsas and Wihby, and unlike them, I voted against a civic center which is costing Man taxpayers $5 million a year and will for another 24 years)

Good move Ted will make an excellent candidate for Mayor, he has an excellent record somewhat conservative and he has his own bucks. Break a leg Ted. You will be a welcome change from the do nothing back stabber Guinta.
