I fully expect that Republicans will have a good year up and down the ballot in 2010. That is based on the simple fact that we aren’t Democrats. But that is short term thinking. I agree with Chairman Sununu that for the Republican Party to bounce back we need be a party of leaders and [...]

Pindell had the scoop. So besides the predictable Tausch loving response from the two GraniteGrok guys what does Red Hampshire think about this?
It looks likely she’ll have a primary.
She is a blank slate. What issues should her campaign stress?

The debate about who speaks for the Republican Party goes on. Whether it is a question being asked in honest debate, or one being used by the left to continue to try to distract and divide the opposition, it appears to be the favored topic among pundits everywhere.
I think I have figure it out.
For [...]

Former NH GOP Chair Fergus Cullen got in a little bit of hot water with his Union Leader op-ed last week when he suggested Republicans need to move on from the Reagan legacy.

A Gallup poll out this week has some interesting results. When asked who spoke for Republicans nationally some 52 percent had a blank stare. Then they come up with names like Newt Gingrich, Rush Limbaugh, and Dick Cheney. I see we have really advanced as a party since 2000.
But what if the question were asked [...]

The debate over the future of the GOP party is one that has taken place on a national stage as well as the local stage, on Red Hampshire. Karl Rove said this Sunday that, “Anybody who says they’re a Republican is a Republican.” Personally, I do believe that this is a non-debate fueled by the [...]

I have learned that what one person feels about politics hundreds and thousands are right next to him feeling the same. A few years ago I was a pro-life Democrat who believed in free trade, believed we need to find an orderly way to close down Social Security, and strongly believed in American military strength. I also [...]
