Left Wing Astroturf Group to Protest Gregg Event

August 20, 2009Matt Suermann

Well, I had a feeling this would happen.  After weeks of complaining about right wing “astroturf” and corporate interests busing and paying for supporters, it seems that the left wing group MoveOn.org will be planning on staging a protest at Sen. Gregg’s Salem Town Hall tomorrow.

Yes, it  is their right to attend the event and allow their voices to be heard.  After all, that is what we have been calling for here on Red Hampshire and what their allies, CSP and Hodes, have been unwilling to do for the past few weeks.  It is ironic that the left feels it is OK for unions and liberal interest groups to be the boots on the ground for protesting a respected member of the US Senate.  I would hazard to guess that should CSP and Hodes ever decide to host a town hall meeting, the protesters on the outside would be from a homegrown group of activists.

Now who is using astroturf groups?
