Hodes: Reading Every Bill Would Slow Down the Business of Congress

Apparently Paul Hodes does not feel it necessary to read bills that he votes on.

Democratic Rep. Paul Hodes (NH-02) believes reading every bill in Congress “would slow down the business of Congress to a crawl and it would be hard to get done what needs to be done.”

Members of Congress who don’t read the bills they are voting on “is not necessarily the major problem with the way Congress functions,” he said.

Excuse me Congressman but I think it prudent that you read each and every bill before you vote to spend trillions of dollars that belong to the taxpayers of this great nation. The major problem with Congress is that they refuse to  stop spending our money.

I have a few questions for Congressman Hodes:

  1. What bills are important to read?
  2. What bills have you read?
  3. Did you read the cap-and-trade bill?
  4. Did you read the stimulus bill?
  5. Will you read the impending health care legilsation?
