U.S. Senate Candidate Bill Binnie Issues Statement Regarding Democrat Health Care Bill
Republican U.S. Senate Candidate Bill Binnie issued the following statement regarding the health care legislation moving through the Senate on Saturday evening:
“I am strongly opposed to the Democrat health care bill now being debated in the Senate. It will cost more than $849 billion and create 118 new bureaucracies and government programs as well as a public option. At 2074 pages long, the bill will cost taxpayers almost $410 million per page and denies Americans personal choice.
Our current health care system needs reform, but that doesn’t mean we should throw common sense out the window. Clearly, Democrats are no longer interested in representing everyday New Hampshire citizens.
Tonight’s vote to debate this bill is a sad reminder of why we need to bring Granite State common sense values to Washington.”

It sounds a little funny for Binnie to first debating the merits of the Senate Healthcare bill and then say “Tonight’s vote to debate this bill is a sad reminder of why we need to bring Granite State common sense values to Washington.” If it is a violation of commonsense for the Senate to be DEBATING the bill, then how come Binnie is debating it?
Yeah, yeah, I know the Senate’s rules don’t exactly make sense, and Binnie presumably knows he will have to play by those rules if he gets elected.
