Bestani Raises $45K in Q3
October 15, 2009Today, Robert Bestani issued the following statement regarding his Q3 fundraising total.
BESTANI GAINS FUNDRAISING MOMENTUM
Newmarket, NH . . . Today Bob Bestani, a Republican candidate for Congress, filed his third quarter report with the Federal Election Commission showing a ten fold increase in fundraising.
“Our fundraising is gaining momentum. As a political outsider, I am pleased with our growth and progress,” stated Bestani. “People are responding to my message about the need to elect people with experience and expertise in the issues that matter – the economy, energy and national security. They want a Congressman who will bring a fresh and independent perspective, someone who is not a career politician.”
According to Bestani’s FEC report, he raised $42,500 this quarter whereas in the second quarter he had accumulated $4,250 in donations. Sixty percent of the funds for this report came from New Hampshire residents. This is the third quarter in a row with significant growth in donations.
Bestani has also been frugal in his spending. He has been able to save eighty-four percent of the funds raised leaving him with close to $42,000 cash on hand.
“Our goal is to keep building each quarter, just as I have grown each of the businesses I have run.” said Bestani.
Bestani lives in Newmarket with his wife. He is a member of the Municipal Budget Committee and is the former Chairman of both the Municipal Audit and Energy Committees. Professionally Bob is a visiting scholar for Stanford University. Prior to Stanford, he had served as the Director General of Private Sector Finance and Operations at the Asian Development Bank, Managing Director at PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Deputy Assistant Secretary for International Monetary Affairs for the first Bush Administration.
